Dr. Hans-Herbert Stoffregen studied physics at Göttingen University and obtained his doctorate during his time as a research assistant. Dr. Stoffregen’s experience as patent attorney was built over decades of practice in the field of intellectual property law, both in obtaining grants of patents, utility models, designs, and trademarks and in the enforcement of these rights with patent offices and in courts of law. Defending property rights and fending off claims from third parties are part of his area of expertise as the lead supervisor in infringement proceedings. Dr. Stoffregen is also active in the fields of licensing matters and the Employee Invention Act.

 

The technologies at the center of Dr. Stoffregen’s competence include mechanical and plant engineering, manufacturing processes, civil engineering, railway technology, power engineering, materials engineering, medical technology, measurement engineering, as well as physics.

In his studies of general electrical engineering at RWTH University Aachen, Mr. Manfred Schlürscheid focused his interest on measurement technology and computer engineering. He completed his Diplom thesis at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in the field of power electronics for electrical drives. Some of Mr. Schlürscheid’s core competencies are patent and trademark searches, application procedures to obtain grants of patents, utility models, trademarks, and designs at national and international patent and trademark offices, opposition, appeal and patent revocation proceedings as well as patent infringement proceedings.

 

Mr. Schlürscheid’s areas of strength are concentrated in the fields of electrical engineering, measurement engineering, automation engineering, sensor technology, robotics, computer engineering, in particular service oriented architectures, embedded systems, and software inventions.
